Eoghan McKenna
Eoghan assists, advises and represents clients as they encounter challenging legal positions but also with the inevitable associated personal issues with passion and empathy. He is conscious of the need to also protect client reputation as far as possible in those difficult times. He supervises various MSM departments including Family Law and Litigation whilst also leading the MSM Criminal
Law team, aiding clients under investigation by various agencies but also those clients who find themselves before the Magistrates Court, Crown Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.
Eoghan has also been awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Criminal Justice by QUB. Eoghan is an accredited Law Society Advanced Advocate. He also has a particular interest in Human Rights Law, holding a Masters in Human Rights from QUB.
Séamus McIlroy
Séamus qualified as a solicitor in 2006. He worked in private practice before moving on to numerous public sector roles. These included drafting legislation and giving advice to senior civil servants and ministers. He was the Police Ombudsman’s Director of Legal Services, giving advice on all areas of law and, in particular, regarding criminal law, civil litigation, inquests and judicial review. He was called to
the Bar in 2018 where he has been involved in high profile criminal cases, inquests and litigation during this time.
Séamus is a contributor to Valentine’s All Law of NI Resource since 2013. Séamus also chairs a number of Tribunals on a part time basis. He recently co-authored the first dedicated text to the Youth Court in NI.
