Volunteering is a great way to meet people, contribute to your community, enhance your wellbeing, meet new people all while boosting your CV!

At Queen's Students' Union, we have a network of 500+ charities and community groups have a range of opportunities to suit everyone.

You might like to befriend an older person, fundraise for a local charity, or get involved in conservation in urban areas - whatever you’re passionate about we’ll be able to find the perfect volunteering opportunity for you.

We also co-ordinate our own volunteering initiatives:

  • Homework Clubs: you can volunteer to support the study skills of children and young people living in areas of educational underachievement across Belfast.
  • Handy Helpers: you can participate in a range of one-off/short-term volunteering projects alongside other students – there’s no commitment; you can say yes to the projects that suit you and no to ones that don't!
