This training is open to all researchers, academics and other interested staff at Queen's.
Join us for this interactive and immersive session provides attendees with a guide to the news landscape includes exclusive first-hand insights from both sides of the camera. It is designed for those who want an awareness of how journalists work, how to get on their radar, and – crucially – what makes a good news story.
The session will be tailored to attendees with up-to-date examples, interactive elements and audio and film contributions from journalists working in newsrooms up and down the UK. Crucially we also cover the theory of how to be effective in broadcast and print interviews.
