This conference will explore the increasing focus on neighbourhoods in urban practice globally whilst considering how in divided areas, planning practices can create shared spaces in disconnected neighbourhoods. Speakers include Xavi Matilla (former Chief Architect in Barcelona), Pinar Caglin, Anastasia Ignatova and Maia Smile (UN Habitat Lab), Eamon O'Connor (Gehl Associates) and Marina Milosev (London Legacy Corporation). This comparative practice will be grounded in the local context with a session with speakers from Department for Communities, Department of Justice, The Executive Office - Urban Villages and the IMAGINE Peace Barriers Project.
