This panel brings together researchers from across the island of Ireland to discuss their current and recent research in the field of the Irish Catholic Church and Catholicism’s activities and structures in English-speaking world during the 19th and 20th centuries and will be chaired by QUB’s Dr Eric Morier-Genoud. The panel includes, Dr Sarah Roddy, from Maynooth University, who will explore the fundraising of Irish priests amongst the diaspora; QUB’s Dr Sophie Cooper who will discuss her research into Irish female religious in Australia and the United States; and Conor Brockbank, QUB HAPP PhD student, who will discuss his recently released and first book exploring the activities of Irish Calced Carmelite priests in Wales as well as his current focus on the Irish Carmelites during his PhD.
