Software Engineering and Computer Science Students take part in the Engineering for People Design Challenge from Engineers Without Borders. 

This year the students are using their creativity and Systems Thinking to design sustainable solutions for some of the everyday challenges faced by the people of Makers Valley, Johannesburg, South Africa, in the areas of Built Environment, Food, Water, Transport, Energy, Digital, Waste and Sanitation. 

The posters show what’s possible when our science and engineering students are given the opportunity to go beyond narrow subject boundaries: here are imaginative, practical designs that have the potential to change people’s lives for the better.
