Join Friends of the Field at Lower Botanic Gardens for an exciting and educational afternoon of gardening workshops for children.

Seedball Workshop – Get your hands a little messy making seedballs with native wildflowers and grasses. Take home both freshly made and pre-prepared ones to grow your own mini meadow.

Seed Tape for Little Gardeners – Perfect for young growers! Create easy-to-plant seed strips with fast-growing greens like watercress and radishes. We’ll provide pots and soil so you can start your mini harvest right away.

Meadow BioBlitz & Treasure Hunt – Explore the meadow, discover new wildflowers and grasses from last year’s biodiversity project, and record your finds using iNaturalist or Seek. Keep an eye out for hidden prizes!

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

*One ticket provides access to all 3 workshops and participants will rotate around the workshops.
