This talk will explore recent musical work that explores physical modelling synthesis based on guitar- and brass-like instruments.

This seminar will include looking at what guitars and brass instruments "know", to what extent this translates to digital simulations and how both the cultural resonances and the perceived physicality of these instruments persists even when there is no-real time algorithmic composition.
