Take the lead role in improving your employability prospects!  

Sign up to be connected with an industry professional mentor, who has volunteered their time to support you with ‘real world’ advice, guidance and practical information.  

If selected onto the programme your Mentor will share their expertise, knowledge and insights to help you progress through your student journey.  

You will receive their support and guidance to develop your leadership, networking, communication, application and interview skills and get to know more about what a certain job might involve.

The Mentoring scheme is open to all undergraduate students from a Widening Participation background (see eligibility criteria below).

  • Being the first in their family to attend University    
  • Being from a lower income family    
  • Caring for a family member or dependent    
  • Residing in a disadvantaged neighbourhood    
  • Being a refugee or asylum seeker    
  • Having experience in the care of the Health and Social Care Trust   

When accepted onto the programme, you will have the opportunity to meet your mentor up to four times from November 2024 to April 2025. 

Applications will open on 07 October 2024 via the careers management tool MyFuture. The closing date for applications is 21 October 2024.
