Time

‘Novelist Louise Nealon joins us to discuss novel-writing; her debut Snowflake, her upcoming second novel, and her experiences of scaling that most Sisyphean of mountains – finishing the book. We’ll also be discussing making a life, and a living, of writing.’
Louise studied English Literature at Trinity College Dublin and completed her Master's in Creative Writing at the Seamus Heaney Centre in 2016. She went on to win the Seán Ó’Faoláin International Short Story Competition, and in May 2021 published her debut novel Snowflake to enormous success.

'SNOWFLAKE is mad and wonderful.  I thought I was reading one thing, then discovered - several times as I read - that I was reading a different, even better thing’ - Roddy Doyle

‘GAS and beautiful and truthful and touching' - Marian Keyes, author of Grown Ups

‘Snowflake is raw, sharp-sighted, affirming, and also very very funny. Louise Nealon's prose shimmers as do her irregular and damaged characters. Stunning’ - Una Mannion, author of A Crooked Tree

The Tuesday Group is a long-running creative writing workshop for prose writers at the Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen’s, coordinated by Dara McWade. Their regular Write Night sees a break from the workshop format to feature guest writers offering insights into their own writing lives.
