GIS2024
Queen's University Belfast (QUB) and the Centre for Competitiveness (CforC) hosted the Global Federation of Competitiveness Councils (GFCC) 2024 Annual Meeting and Global Innovation Summit in November, under the theme of Global Sustainability and Economic Inclusion.
The leadership gathering offered a unique experience to participants from industry, government, academia, and civil society organisations to engage with peers, access first-hand global best practices, and take part in high-profile strategy conversations on the nexus connecting sustainability, innovation, and competitiveness.
The Global Innovation Summit engaged a worldwide audience of policymakers, business leaders, and academics from five continents. The knowledge and best practices exchanged at the summit inspired and shaped the development of innovation strategies and policies.
At the core of the 2024 GFCC Annual Meeting and Global Innovation Summit was the understanding that global sustainability encompasses economic performance, protection of the environment and social inclusion.
Our landmark event with key international political and corporate leaders examined how, in an era of complex global challenges, innovation can act as the key driver of competitiveness, promoting global sustainability and economic inclusion on a worldwide scale.
