Research Culture: #TweetYourThesis
As part of our Summer Programme, we are challenging our PGRs to communicate their research to a public audience – in 280 characters.
Our Tweet Your Thesis competition will run from Tuesday 18th June to Wednesday 26th June. To enter, you must tweet during these dates using the #tweetyourthesis and tag @qubgradschool.
Failure to add both in your tweet will be automatic disqualification from the competition.
The prizes for this year’s competition are as follows:
1st prize £25 gift voucher and certificate.
2nd prize £20 gift voucher and certificate.
3rd prize £15 gift voucher and certificate.

Rules
You must be a Queen’s University of Belfast postgraduate researcher (PGR).
To enter, you must tweet your thesis from Tuesday 18th June and Wednesday 26th June.
You are limited to one 280-character tweet.
Links to extra text explaining your research is not allowed (no Twitter threads - it has to be one tweet!)
You can include images in your tweet, but not those that contain text.
GIFs (including GIFs that have minimal text (few words) and emojis can also be used!
If you are a PGR, you must use the #tweetyourthesis and tag @qubgradschool. Failure to add both in your tweet will be automatic disqualification from the competition.
Please note your tweets may be displayed on other media and promotional content by QUB Graduate School.
Prizes will be announced on Twitter and via the Graduate School page on Friday 28th June.

Tweets will be judged according to:
- Clarity of tweet
- Succinctness of tweet
- Engagement/Impact
- Accessibility to a wider audience
- Inventiveness
