JANUARY 2025 ORIENTATION PROGRAMME:
The University’s Pre-Semester Engagement Programme offers welcome events for incoming students from Monday 6 January 2025. To book a campus or a Belfast City Bus Tour, please visit MyQueen's.
To help students settle in straight away, Accommodation staff will provide an induction for students in the Cinema Room at the Treehouse on Monday 6 January 2025.
A series of events will commence from Tuesday 7 January & Wednesday 8 January 2025 for Study Abroad students, to enable them to get to know our campus and to provide an introduction to academic life and our student support services. This is also an excellent opportunity to meet new classmates at their home away from home.
Sessions include information on how to complete your enrolment and registration, an overview of student wellbeing and accessible learning support, guidance on academic studies at Queen’s, sustainability on campus, personal safety and finances. Our Students’ Union team will discuss getting involved in student life, clubs and societies. Our event ends with a Q&A session with current Queen’s students, giving you the opportunity to ask them anything.
We will also be offering you a ‘Taste of Ireland’ - to sample local cuisine, culture and have some ‘craic’ at a local venue.
Students will be invited to attend by email before their departure.

AIRPORT WELCOME SERVICE
Queen's will be operating an airport welcome at George Belfast Belfast City Airport on Saturday 4 January and Sunday 5 January 2025, between 09:00 – 21:00 to welcome new incoming students to Belfast.
During the airport welcome our university ambassadors will direct you to appropriate methods of transport to help you reach your onward destination. (Please note - we will direct you to a bus or taxi service, we do not provide this service.)

- STUDENTS' UNION - HERE TO HELP YOU
Once you have arrived we know it might take some time for you to adjust to life in a new country. Should you need a helping hand, Advice SU is available to offer just that. Situated on the second floor of the Students’ Union, Advice SU has four advisers who are all dedicated to providing students with free, independent, confidential, accurate advice.
The Students' Union is also the home to more than 215+ clubs and societies which you can join to socialise and make new friends. It houses bars, shops and places for you to relax outside of university.
It's also a place for you to enhance your skills with Enterprise SU's programme of workshops and business one-to-ones.
