International computing conferences to take place at Queen’s
A leading international conference on computing systems will be held at Queen’s University Belfast from 2 – 4 April 2018.
The conference has been organised by the Global Research Institute of Electronics, Communications and Information Technology (ECIT) at Queen’s.
The IEEE International Symposium on Performance Analysis of Systems and Software (ISPASS) is a leading forum for sharing advanced academic and industrial work focused on performance analysis of computer systems and software.
The conference, which will attract world class researchers in computing systems architectures from all over the world, will explore a range of themes, including datacentres, power and energy efficiency of computing systems, graphics processors, and emerging big data workloads.
In September, the IEEE International Conference on Cluster Computing, which is a major international forum in scalable computing, is also being organised by ECIT.
From 10 – 13 September 2018, researchers will present and share recent accomplishments and technological developments in the fields of cluster and cloud computing for scientific and commercial applications.
The conference focuses on the challenges ahead in trying to make future datacentres scalable, efficient, and more functional.
Professor Dimitrios Nikolopoulos, General Chair of ISPASS 2018 and CLUSTER 2018, and Director of ECIT at Queen’s University Belfast, commented: “We are privileged to host these premier conferences in Belfast. ISPASS and CLUSTER attract world leading researchers to present the latest advances on the bleeding edge of computing technologies for taming the data deluge.”
