Dr Ulrike M. Vieten, QUB Fellow at the Mitchell Institute, also in cooperation with the Centre for European and Transnational Studies is organising the Belfast Symposium on 1 March 2019, 'Gender, asylum seekers and refugees: how do European societies respond to loss and displacement'.
International Guest Speakers will be Prof Halleh Ghorashi (VU Amsterdam) , Prof Giorgia Dona (UEL) and Prof İrem İnceoğlu (Kadir Has University Istanbul); discussants will be Dr Fiona Murphy (QUB), Dr Teresa Degenhardt (QUB) and Dr Lucy Michael (Ulster University Belfast).
