The Mitchell Institute in cooperation with the Centre for European and Transnationals Studies is pleased to announce a seminar held by Prof Ruth Pearson, University of Leeds.
Prof Pearson will talk about her (and Dr Sundhari Anita's) recently published book, and the research project behind it. The project looked at the women led strikes (from Grunwick to Gate Gourmet), exploring lost histories of female workforce organisation, resistance and stories of South Asian migration to Britain.
This talk is part of a couple of seminars on 'class, migrant women and resistance'; organised by Dr Ulrike M Vieten (QUB Fellow).
