By choosing to study a PhD within the Faculty, you will be challenged to cross disciplinary boundaries and to explore your research topic from different perspectives.
Applications are invited from international candidates for a number of fully funded PhD scholarships in the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences at Queens University Belfast. The successful candidates will receive funding from the Northern Ireland Department for the Economy (DFE) covering both international tuition fees and stipend.

A number of fully funded PhD scholarships are available within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences for international students enrolling in October 2022. The successful candidates will receive funding from the Northern Ireland Department for the Economy (DFE) covering both international tuition fees and stipend.
Applications are open for a variety of research projects in the followng schools:
- School of Biological Sciences
- School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences
- School of Nursing and Midwifery
- School of Pharmacy

Approved tuition fees (£22,700) Maintenance Support (rate for 2022/23 to be confirmed)
For international students the value of an award includes the cost of approved tuition fees (£22,700 for 2022/23) and maintenance support (£15,609 for 2021/22; rate for 2022/23 to be confirmed).
Note: This project is in competition for funding with a number of other projects. A selection process will determine the strongest candidates across the range of projects, who may then be offered funding for their chosen project.
