The Fulbright-Queen’s University Belfast Award covers a taught master’s degree in all disciplines at the university.

What can I study?

The award is open across all graduate programmes across the university with the following exclusions: 

  • MSc Industrial Pharmaceutics 
  • MSc Bioinformatics and Computational Genomics 
  • PG Certificate and PG Diploma programmes 
  • All Distance Learning programmes, foundation degree programmes and part-time programmes. 
  • MSc Applied Behaviour Analysis  
  • MSc Autism Spectrum Disorders

What’s on Offer?

A total stipend by the Fulbright Commission, issued four months before the Fulbright awardee’s project begins. Funding and Programme Provision including:

  • Waiving of tuition fees
  • £19,027 living stipend

(The living stipend is intended as a contribution towards general maintenance costs towards the first year in the UK.)

Applying for the award

In your Fulbright online application, for Award Name, please select Fulbright Queen’s University Belfast Award (All Disciplines) from the drop-down menu.  - Fulbright Queen’s University Belfast Award (All Disciplines)

Applicants will complete two applications, the Fulbright application and the university’s application (according to the university’s admissions procedures).

Applicants must submit their university applications as early as possible, ideally before January 13, 2026. Applicants who fail to do so may be at a competitive disadvantage.  

The institution does not typically provide letters of recommendation/ affiliation for master’s degree applicants.
