OVER £1.5 MILLION OF INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE
We offer prestigious, competitive scholarships of up to 50% off tuition fees to new international students. You must have an offer to study a full-time course with us in 2024 to apply for a scholarship. Find out more below.

International Office Scholarships
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
All new international students enrolling onto a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate taught programme (some exclusions apply)
AMOUNT
Award of £3500 or £4000 (Depending on Fee Rate. Includes advanced entry into Year 2 or Year 3).
APPLICATION PROCESS
No separate application required– apply to study at Queen’s and you will be automatically assessed

Early Confirmation Award
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
New international students with unconditional offers for the academic year 2024/25 may receive a discount of £1500 when paying their tuition fees in full by the appropriate deadline.
AMOUNT
£1500 for first year of study - may be used in conjunction with other scholarships
APPLICATION PROCESS
Students must email proof of payment to internationalscholarships@qub.ac.uk or the discount will not be applied.

Queen's Excellence Award
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
This merit-based award is exclusive to International Students who commenced a full-time and full duration undergraduate programme at the Queen’s University Belfast campus. Exclusions apply.
AMOUNT
September 2023 - eligible students who achieve a 75% GPA in the academic year 2023 will be awarded a merit-based award of £2000 in the subsequent academic year (unless on placement, whereby the award will be made the following year).
September 2024 - eligible students who achieve a 60% GPA in the academic year 2024 will be awarded a merit-based award of £3000 in the subsequent academic year (unless on placement, whereby the award will be made the following year).
Students who maintain a minimum GPA of 60% may receive this award in consecutive years.
APPLICATION PROCESS
No application necessary. Awards made automatically to eligible new international students on enrolment.

Vice-Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship – Undergraduate
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Four new international students enrolling onto a full-time undergraduate programme (some exclusions apply)
AMOUNT
50% of tuition fees paid for all years of programme (maximum 4 years)

Vice-Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship – Postgraduate Taught
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Four new international students enrolling onto one of the specified full-time postgraduate taught programmes.
AMOUNT
50% of tuition fees paid for up to a maximum of 2 years.

Queen's Loyalty Scholarship
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Queen’s University alumni, Exchange, Study Abroad, International Summer School or AHSS Winter School Students who have successfully completed the full duration of their previous programme with Queen’s University Belfast.

20% tuition fee reduction on year 1

Queen’s Family Scholarship
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
For children, grandchildren or brothers and sisters of Queen’s alumni and current students beginning a full duration course at Queen’s University Belfast. Available to eligible international students enrolling on undergraduate, postgraduate taught or postgraduate research programmes.
