Where can I find out how much my degree will cost?

Before you look for scholarships or loans to fund your postgraduate course, it’s a good idea to find out how much you will need to pay in fees.

The fees you’ll pay depend on the course you choose and where you’re from. Find your fee status or take a look at the fees for each course.

What postgraduate loans are available?

If you’re a UK, Northern Ireland or EU student, you might qualify for a loan to pay for your tuition fees. 

The amount you can borrow will depend on where you’re from. Learn more about the postgraduate loans available to students from Northern Ireland or the EU. If you’re a student from elsewhere in the UK, take a look at how you can access a postgraduate tuition loan.

If you’re an international student, you may find postgraduate tuition loans offered from your own country. For example, many US students finance their studies at Queen’s through US Federal Loans.

Are there any scholarships I can apply for?

UK and EU students can apply to scholarships that cover a wide range of subject areas, from Engineering to Economics and Arts and Humanities. There are also university-funded scholarships, including the North-South (Ireland) Postgraduate Scholarships. You can learn more from our funding and scholarships web page.

There are scholarships on offer for international students as well. Students can apply for funding from organisations such as British Chevening Awards, British Council  and the Royal Commission 1851.

How can I fund my PhD?
