Pre-application Community Consultation opens for iREACH Health
Public consultation events on the Belfast Region City Deal-funded iREACH Health facility, which will carry out world-class clinical research to deliver better treatments to improve people’s health, are taking place at One Elmwood on Tuesday 21 March.
Queen’s University Belfast is proposing the development of two new iREACH Health buildings which will house NHS, research, and industry facilities in state-of-the-art space close to the Belfast City Hospital and at 38 to 53 Lisburn Road.
iREACH Health will integrate the activities of clinicians, life scientists and data scientists with industry partners to identify and develop new diagnostic tests, treatments, and health related technologies for patient benefits.
Two consultation events will take place at The Cube, Level 1 of the One Elmwood Building, 1 Elmwood Avenue, on Tuesday 21 March at 12:30pm to 2:30pm and from 5pm to 7pm.
An online consultation event will take place on the same date from 4pm to 5pm. If you wish to attend, please contact the team by email at QUB.IREACH@outlook.com by 5pm on Thursday 16 March.
If you cannot attend these events and wish to receive further information on the proposal, please contact staff via the email address above. Feedback on the proposal can also be submitted by email to the same address or by post to Juno Planning & Environmental Ltd, 409 Lisburn Rd, Belfast BT9 7EW.
The consultation period will end on Friday 31 March 2023 to allow the project team to review the feedback received and incorporate it into the planning application.
When the planning application is submitted to Belfast City Council there will be the opportunity to make formal representations to the Council in response to the proposal.
