From monthly contributions to major gifts, the invaluable support of donors has played a vital role in enhancing the campus infrastructure, advancing research and innovation and supporting students through scholarships and bursaries.  

The event marked the important legacy of philanthropy at Queen’s over the past 25 years, including the restoration of the historic Riddel Hall, the establishment of the groundbreaking KN Cheung SK Chin InterSim Centre and the funding of life-changing medical research, in the fields of cancer, cystic fibrosis, asthma, and Multiple Sclerosis. 

It also focused on scholarship and widening participation initiatives such as the Pathway Bursary Fund, the Copty Scholarship and the Clinton Scholarship Fund which are instrumental in transforming lives and fostering a more inclusive academic environment. These scholarships not only support individual journeys, but also reflect the University’s commitment to expanding access to education for all. 

Speaking to donors, Dr Ryan Feeney, Vice President (Governance and External Affairs) and Registrar at Queen’s, said:
