EVER THOUGHT ABOUT A PHD IN MATHS OR PHYSICS?

If you’ve ever considered a PhD, this event is for you! Open to all students in the School of Mathematics and Physics, this event aims to ignite your interest in research. You’ll get an introduction to what a PhD involves, hear from staff from each research centre, and meet with current PhD students.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THE SESSION: 

  • An introduction to Queen's University Belfast and the School of Mathematics and Physics
  • Hear from our staff representing the following research centres:
    • Astrophysics Research Centre (ARC)
    • Centre for Light Matter Interactions (CLMI)
    • Centre for Quantum Materials and Technologies (CQMT)
    • Mathematical Sciences Research Centre (MSRC)
  • A panel discussion with some of our current PhD researchers
  • Lunch
