In October 2022, members of our staff and student community joined in the Black History Month celebrations at the Belfast Black History Expo 2022 at St George's Market, demonstrating Queen's University Belfast's commitment to diversity and inclusion.

The event, held in collaboration with local community organisations, featured exhibits, talks, and performances celebrating the cultural heritage and contributions of the Black community in Northern Ireland. Queen's participation highlighted its dedication to fostering an inclusive environment and engaging with the community to promote understanding and appreciation of diversity. The expo facilitated meaningful dialogue and connection, emphasising the importance of Black history in the region's cultural fabric.
