2022 Postgraduate Summer Fair Competition Terms And Conditions

1. By entering this competition, participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. This promotion is open to prospective postgraduate Queen's University Belfast students, except staff of Queen’s University Belfast, their agents and agencies and anyone else professionally connected with this promotion.
3. To be eligible for the competition, participants must attend the Summer Fair on Thursday 4 August 2022 between 12 noon – 2pm.  Prize winners will be drawn at random following the event.
4. Entrants must provide the following necessary details on the event registration form to be eligible for the prize: First name, last name, email address and phone number. All information provided will be used in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
5. The winners will be selected at random and contacted by Friday 12 August 2022. If the prize winners do not respond after two attempts to contact them, they will forfeit the right to claim the prize and the Promoter will choose another winner.
6. If any technical failure, including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter, corrupts or affects the administration, integrity or fairness of the promotion, then the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, cancel, modify or suspend the Promotion and/or invalidate affected entries.
7. Three (3) first prize winner will receive the following prize: One (1) CMI Scholarship to study the Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership at Queen’s University Belfast, for the 2022/23 academic year. Value of prize: £995.
8. Four (4) runner-up winners will receive the following prize: One (1) Queen's University Belfast hoodie. Value of prize: £35.00
9. The prizewinner(s) acknowledges and accepts that they are responsible for their own safety in association with the redemption of their prize and that the Promoter accepts no liability for any injury incurred by the prizewinner. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies accept no liability for any loss, expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person's negligence) in connection with the promotion and/or prize, other than such liability that cannot be excluded by law and any such liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permissible by law.
10. If the first prize winner is not able to join Queen’s University Belfast as a postgraduate student in September 2022, or stops being a Queen’s University Belfast student throughout the course of the prize period, for any reason, they forfeit the entirety of the prize.
11. There are no cash or other alternatives to the stated prize and, unless otherwise agreed in writing by the promoter, the prize will only be awarded directly to the winning participants at Queen’s University Belfast.
12. The winners will not be able to refund or transfer to another prize.
13. The Promoter reserves the right to amend, alter or terminate this promotion and these terms and conditions without prior notice, at any time.
14. In the event of circumstances outside of its control, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute with similar prizes of equal or greater value.
15. The decision of Queen's University Belfast's Global Recruitment & Events Department is final and binding and no correspondence shall be entered into.
16. This competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Weibo, WeChat or any other social media platforms.
17. The winners may be required to take part in promotional activity related to the competition and the winner shall participate in such activity on the Promoter’s reasonable request.
18. Names, email addresses, and/or telephone will be collected and used to process entries. The winners' details may be given to the prize provider to arrange delivery of the prize.
19. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. If you have, your details will be used in accordance with the information given when you ticked the opt-in box and gave your consent.
20. The winner consents to the use by the Promoter, both during and for a period of five years after the closing date of the competition, of the winners’ photographs, quotes, names, voices and images for publicity purposes (in any medium, including still photographs and films, and on the internet, including any websites and social media accounts hosted by the Promoter) and in advertising, marketing or promotional material without additional compensation or prior notice and, in entering the competition, all entrants consent to the same.
21. This Promotion is subject to Northern Irish law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the Northern Irish courts.
