John HarmonAKA: Julius Handford, John Rokesmith, 'The Man from Somewhere' The Mutual Friend of the title. John Harmon is left his father's fortune on the condition that he marry Bella Wilfer, Harmon returns to England to observe his potential bride, only to have his plan of switching idenitities foiled when a body found in the Thames is taken for his. As Rokesmith he becomes secretary to the Boffins and lodger in the Wilfer's house.
