"Strategy, Structure, Stadium and Success: The Four S Approach of the Irish Football Association"
A keynote address by Mr Patrick Nelson, Chief Executive, Irish Football Association
Queen’s Management School and the Chief Executives’ Club at Queen’s were pleased to host the annual KPMG Distinguished Visiting Lecturer address given by Mr Patrick Nelson, Chief Executive of the Irish Football Association, entitled: ‘Strategy, Structure, Stadium and Success: The Four S Approach of the Irish Football Association’.
Mr Nelson has worked in financial services at American Express and for MasterCard International as General Manager for the UK and Ireland, and helped set up Capital One Bank in Europe, initially as head of operations and then as director of corporate communications. In 2004 he was appointed Chief Executive of Notts County Football Club, before taking over as Chief Executive of Macclesfield Town. He joined the Irish Football Association as Chief Executive in 2009. In October 2015, Northern Ireland celebrated their qualification for Euro 2016, their first ever appearance.
