SARC: Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Sound and Music
SARC’s research remit addresses all forms of sound and music from a variety of perspectives including the human, cultural, physical, social, spatial, creative, environmental, technological. This makes for a highly interdisciplinary research environment with outputs ranging from creative practice, experimental study, technological development, scholarship and participatory projects. Under the leadership of Professor Pedro Rebelo, SARC brings together 45 academic members from across the three Faculties at Queen’s and 30 PhD students. The following affiliates from the Centre of Creative Ethnography are members of SARC: Franziska Schroeder, John D’Arcy, Fiona Magowan, Dina Belluigi, Ioannis Tsioulakis, and Maruška Svašek.
