Under EPSRC's Royal Charter, one of PIADS CDT's primary objectives is to "generate public awareness; communicate research outcomes; encourage public engagement and dialogue, and disseminate knowledge". CDT PIADS recognises the importance of public engagement and outreach as vital components of the CDT programme and our students are involved in a range of activities across cohort years. Our Outreach & Public Engagement programme seeks to create new and enhance existing collaborative working relationships between our students and local schools and colleges, the general public, NGOs, industry partners, wider university departments and even mutual Centres for Doctoral Training.
