Thermoforming

Thermoforming of sheet material, ready made or manufactured on site using the equipment identified under the Extrusion, can be carried out in the Centre using the following machines:

• Custom-built laboratory plug assist pressure former;
• CR Clarke 1820 Vacuum Former

The Centre is also equipped with a custom built biaxial tester which can be used to measure basic material properties and behaviour of sheet material under biaxial loading conditions.
