This reading group holds regular meetings and discusses key works in the rapidly expanding literature on energy and climate change. It aims to establish an intellectual space around the Centre for Sustainability, Equality and Climate Action to stimulate a sustained interdisciplinary conversation on energy and climate through the critical reading of recent publications.

The group welcomes PhD, early career and established researchers in the Belfast area who seek to expand their readings, exchange views or keep abreast of intellectual debates outside their own disciplinary fields.

The topics of the readings are energy, climate and related fields, such as sustainability, the environment and the Anthropocene. We particularly welcome suggestions for readings that cut across disciplinary boundaries. Reading materials will be published books and articles, but we hope to include some appropriate audio-visual productions (e.g. documentary films) as well.
