I am an ESRC-funded PhD student at Queen's University Belfast in the third year of my studies. My thesis explores the role of interest-groups in Northern Ireland and in the UK/EU exit negotiations. I have a particular interest in the politics of energy in Northern Ireland, the politics of cross-border trade in electricity, and the role of energy in decarbonisation. I hold a postgraduate certificate in social research methods, an MA in Legislative Studies and a BA in History and Politics. I have previously worked in the Northern Ireland Civil Service, at the Northern Ireland Assembly and in the community and voluntary sector. I'm interested in collaborating on work related to the politics of interest groups, energy policy, trade policy and relations between Northern Ireland and the European Union.
