NICRF Nursing Clinical Team
The NICRF provide high quality research and clinical care ensuring patient safety and also making sure that patients and visiting staff are supported throughout the study. All research is conducted in a GCP environment in accordance with the NICRF’s comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and User Guides.
NICRF nursing staff provide advice on running the study in the NICRF, identifying risks and helping to source consumables and medications. They also can assist with costing a study and study-related activities. The NICRF nursing staff can also assist with study activities such as:
- Room/equipment set-up
- Venepuncture
- ECGs
- iDXA bone density and body composition
- Multiple breath washout
- Sample processing and storage
- Post-procedure recovery
- Blood sugar monitoring
- Administration of questionnaires
- Vital signs
- Spirometry
