How Policy Interventions Can Reduce Economic Inactivity Among Older Workers

A launch event to discuss findings of new IPPO research and hear from expert panellists on reducing economic activity among older workers.

Date(s)
November 6, 2024
Location
Online
Time
14:30 - 16:00

During this online panel discussion, IPPO will launch its evaluation of what works to reduce economic activity among people with poor health and disability.

In the UK, two groups are most likely to be economically inactive: those with health conditions and disabilities, and older people.

During IPPO’s research, we’ve demonstrated a startling evidence gap in understanding what works to bring older people back into the workforce.

At this public launch event, we’ll explore the gaps in knowledge and look at how we could tackle this evidence challenge.

Our speakers will include:

Emily Andrews, Deputy Director for Work at the Centre for Ageing Better

Daniela Silcock, Head of Policy Research at the Pensions Policy Institute

We will also hear contributions from our research partner EPPI Centre, based at UCL.

Please note: This event will be recorded and made available publicly on our YouTube channel.
