• May 2012, ethical approval was achieved.
• September 2012, 1495 people were invited to take part in the study
• Currently 469 questionnaires have been completed and returned
• Regular meetings with the study steering group
• Preliminary results presented to Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety
• February 2014, participants sent a summary of results
• May 2015, Report entitled ‘Dying with cancer: Perspectives of Bereaved relatives and friends’ was launched.
