Today’s Lunchtime Recital is a rare chance to hear the Buffa Duo, from Bratislava. Ivan and Diana Buffa explore the exciting and powerful repertoire of the modern two-piano repertoire, specializing in the music of their contemporaries in Slovakia and surrounding nations.

Their reach, however, is truly international; today’s programme will include works by London-based Japanese composer Dai Fujikura, who will be attending, by Austrian Daniel Moser and by Piers Hellawell. Pianist, conductor and composer Ivan Buffa is also director of the Quasars Ensemble, which performed in QUB last night; Diana Buffa is pianist in the ensemble.
