Quasars Ensemble, established in 2008, is a music ensemble unique in its breadth of repertoire – from contemporary classical music to music of the past eras. Among the most vibrant of new music drivers in Eastern Europe, Quasars plays a pivotal role in championing global new music from its Slovak base in Bratislava – much like Hard Rain SoloistEnsemble does in Belfast! Music At Queen’s is delighted to welcome Quasars to the Sonic Lab, in partnership with Moving On Music and Hard Rain.

Quasars will include works by Greg Caffrey (Ireland), Michael Jarrell (Switzerland), Bohdana Frolyak (Ukraine) and Ivan Buffa (Quasars director) along with featured Slovak composers and London-based Japanese composer Dai Fujikura.
