This project subsequently investigates how the city sounds without the presence of humans or the expected level of human occupancy in popular parts of Belfast’s public spaces, using field recordings to document and chronologically experience the differences imposed by Covid-19 restrictions.
We’ll walk to some of these locations, giving you the chance to experience a unique historical viewpoint, to hear how spaces changed and to reflect upon the present sounds that make up our urban spaces.
Accessible via Echoes (GPS soundwalks - Available on the Apple Store and Google Playstore).
- Starting point - Albert Clock
- Ending point - Belfast City Hall
