SARC Radio is a brand new online radio station broadcasting from the basement of SARC - the home of experimental sound in Belfast. The station showcases the wide variety of work being produced by students and staff in Music, Sound Design, Audio, Media and Broadcast Production at Queen’s University Belfast. Fringe Tones is a series of hour-long mixes produced by prolific noise-maker Barry Cullen. With so many beats already taking up the airwaves, Fringe Tones is dedicated to the music without percussion. The mixes blend music from a variety of genres, and some that rejects definition. From commercial pop music and media archives, to field recordings and DIY sound cultures, you’ll hear traces of the recording sources on vinyl, tape and even some minidisc. New, old, clean, dirty, minimal, maximal, rich and enrichening.

The Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen's is home to some of the UK and Ireland's foremost poets, novelists, scriptwriters, and critics. Each episode features readings, performances, interviews, and coffee-drinking with staff, students, alumni and friends. It is produced in a small back room of the Seamus Heaney Centre by Ian Sansom, Stephen Sexton, and Rachel Brown. With invaluable production and sound design from SARC alumni Chantal Ailsby, and Conor McCafferty, and student Toby James.
A podcast for female identifying musicians eager to start self-recording their music, hosted by Isobel Anderson (SARC graduate), and featuring fascinating guest episodes with women making music with technology.
The untold stories of generations of Irish women who saw their American Dream become a nightmare presented by Elaine Farrell (Queen’s University Belfast) and Leanne McCormick (Ulster University) with Siobhán McSweeney (Derry Girls). Featuring original music by Franziska Schroeder (SARC) and Caitriona Gribben (SARC graduate), and additional post-production by John D’Arcy (SARC).
