The goal of the Spitsbergen Artists Residency centre is to foster the connection of artists from different countries, disciplines, and media with the reality of the high Arctic.
The focus of Eimer's research during this first international field project is exploring the significance of encounter within the experience of listening. During this first field project, she will focus in situ on the seasonal eco acoustics of migratory bird movements and connecting to perspectives on human bird relationships through ethnomethodological studies of multi species interaction in Svalbard.
The residency is funded by the Goethe Institute // Culture Moves Europe
