Lord Kerr Scholarship 2025
Lee Curran named 2025 Lord Kerr Bar Scholar.

The Scholarship is given in memory of Baron Kerr of Tonaghmore (1948-2020), Law alumnus of Queen’s University Belfast (1969), former Lord Chief Justice of Northern Ireland and Justice of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom.
Queen’s University and the Bar of Northern Ireland meant a great deal to Lord Kerr. As a lasting legacy to both and a commitment to a more diverse Bar, this scholarship is awarded annually to one Queen’s University Law graduate to fund their fees for the Bar Trainee course at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies.
Speaking about the award, Lee Curran said: “It is a great honour to have been selected as the recipient of the Lord Kerr Bar Scholarship for this academic year. The scholarship means a great deal to me personally, and to my family, in aiding me begin my career at the Bar. I am very thankful for the opportunity to carry on the legacy of Lord Kerr, who was deeply committed to Queen’s and the Bar of Northern Ireland.”
We wish Lee every success in his future career.
