Wave Climate
Defining and understanding the incident wave climate is essential for most coastal engineering projects ranging from coastal protection to harbour development and environmental impacts to design development of marine renewable energy projects.
This information is critical to define design parameters and ensure survivability of planned infrastructure and feeds in to all stages of development from design, construction, installation and maintenance. Within the Marine Research Group we have experience measuring, numerically simulating and physically modelling wave climate for locations around Ireland, the UK and further afield alongside many ongoing projects.
