Research Interests
Open to PhD applications in the fields of;
- Technology development for construction industry
- Mass flow testing and modelling in materials
- Material forensics or energy efficiency measures
Refer to the list of current and past projects.
Current Research Opportunities
- Electrical resistivity-based characterisation of concrete: Affordable Technologies
- Corrosion of mild steel reinforcement in alkali activated binders
Public outreach & key achievements
I contribute to RILEM committees, work with Institute of Concrete Technology and is one of the founder members for CERAI - Civil Engineering Association of Ireland. I have had three KTP with local concrete industry. I did the structural assessment and rehabilitation strategy for the Abercorn Bridge for Transport NI.
