Industry to Student Mentoring Programme A Success
The School of Biological Sciences have successfully completed a pilot mentoring programme which has connected 15 current students to relevant industry mentors - and the positive feedback and benefits have been wonderful and worth celebrating!
THANK YOU - to our mentors for volunteering your time and resources to support mentees.
WELL DONE - to our mentees who embraced the opportunity to learn from their mentor.
WHAT HAPPENED - A wide range of activities were completed to include mock interviews, CV reviews, work shadowing, site visits, coffee catch ups, career planning, goals and work life balance review and many more.
BENEFITS - The mentoring has already seen some great outcomes to include improved results in university work, graduate job offers and many more broader areas such as increased confidence, motivation, networks and career awareness.
100% of our mentors and mentees rated the programme a success!
We look forward to launching again next year.
