Applications Now Open for 2020 PhD Positions
Applications are now being welcomed for PhD studentships within the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, with study commencing in October 2020.
These positions, including those within the areas of medicinal chemistry, sustainability, and development of novel porous liquids, each attract a financial stipend, and have a duration of study of at least three years.
Professor Steven Bell, Head of School, commented on the announcement of the positions:
"There has never been a more exciting time to undertake postgraduate research within the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, as we roll out our plan to be at the forefront of research developments in the global challenge areas of health and sustainability. Each of the opportunities available this year will provide students with the chance to work as part of leading research teams, gaining experience of working with sophisticated, cutting edge equipment and making fundamental discoveries. Our graduate training also ensures that our PhD students also gain exceptionally valuable transferrable skills, including project management, and working within fast-paced, and rapidly evolving environments.
