We cordially invite you to the première of the ‘Brexit, Health & Me’ documentary: a product of the Health Governance After Brexit (HGAB) project, at 17:30 on Tuesday 10 March 2020 in the Queen’s Film Theatre (QFT).
In 2019, a group from the University of Sheffield and Queen’s University Belfast began a project on health governance after Brexit. The project explores legitimacy, accountability and responsibility for health following one of the most seismic political events in recent European history. HGAB is a two-year project funded by the Economic and Social Research Council. The project team is Professor Tamara Hervey, University of Sheffield; Dr Mark Flear, Queen’s University Belfast; Dr Matthew Wood, University of Sheffield; and Dr Ivanka Antova, Queen’s University Belfast.
‘Brexit, Health & Me’ is a much anticipated outcome from this project. This documentary is a collaboration between the HGAB team and ShoutOutUK, a multi-award winning education brand and platform for positive change. Filmed in Northern Ireland, the North of England, and London, the documentary explores perspectives, hopes and expectations for health after Brexit of the general public, academics and policy practitioners.
We hope you will be able to join us for the first public screening of the documentary and a panel discussion with the academics currently investigating health governance after Brexit. This event is free and open to all and will start with a drinks reception in the QFT foyer at 17:30.
Please register online using the following link: http://go.qub.ac.uk/87gbc. Please note seats are limited. The QFT is a fully accessible venue.
