On Thursday 10 June a partial solar eclipse will be visible from Northern Ireland. The event begins at 10 am and goes on until 12:30 pm. At around 11:15am about 30% of the solar disk will be blocked out by the moon.
On Wednesday 2 June at 4 pm our own resident eclipse expert, Dr. Ryan Milligan from ARC, will be giving a talk JOIN HERE on what to expect during this celestial event, and how to view it safely. The talk will be aimed at a general audience and is open to all staff and students across the school. This talk will be recorded and made available online to those who cannot attend it, as well as for the general public.
WARNING: NEVER LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SUN WITHOUT SPECIAL EYE PROTECTION.
Everyone Welcome to attend talk and happy, safe viewing.
