Current Research:
Exploring the decision-making process: A robust longitudinal approach to discrete-choice modelling
The decision-making process that people undergo is naturally complex, involving a wide variety of factors, many of which are interacting, and each of which affect a person’s final decision. This project aims to advance current statistical and machine learning techniques to capture the common scenario that peoples’ opinions develop and change as time progresses, a situation predominately unexplored by current methods.
I am also completing my PhD in collaboration with CARD group LTD, where I have the opportunity to apply my research to ongoing client projects.
Biography:
I am currently a first year PhD student at Queen's University Belfast. I graduated from Queen's with an MMath in Mathematics and Statistics & Op Research. I was particularly interested in statistics throughout my degree and during my final year dissertation I looked closely at machine learning techniques such as neural networks.
Research Interests:
- Discrete Choice Modelling
- Longitudinal Data
