Awards for Biohaviour Researchers at ICMR Conference Hosted by School of Mech. & Aero. Eng at Queens
Congratulations to Sakil Barbhiuya (EEECS, QUB) & Stephen Kyle (SMAE, QUB) who won best paper awards at the recent International Conference on Manufacturing Research (ICMR 2019) which was hosted by the School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at Queens. Sakil received the Gold award for his paper entitled 'SmartMaaS: A Framework for Smart Manufacturing-as-a-Service' and Stephen received the Silver award for his paper 'Bio-Inspired Growth: Introducing Emergence into Computational Design. Both researchers are working on the Biohaviour program at Queens which according to project lead Prof. Mark Price, 'embraces emerging behaviours for design innovation as roles and activities are changing within manufacturing organisations'.
