SCHOOL OF MECHANICAL AND AEROSPACE ENGINEERING AWARDS FIRST STUDENT INTO PRIZE
The INTO Student Prize is awarded to the Stage 2 direct entry student who achieves the highest average mark on the INTO International Diploma. To be eligible to receive the prize, the student must register on an undergraduate programme in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in the academic year immediately following their progression from INTO. The first winner of this prize is Jianing Gu. Jianing was the top performing student progressing to BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering (Year 2) after having achieved an average of 91% on the International Year One in Engineering (January intake). He also achieved an A in English. Jianing is from Singapore and he was presented with this prize at the INTO Articulation Presentation event which was held on Wednesday 18th October in Riddell Hall. The prize consists of a certificate and a cheque for £500 and has been funded initially for four years.
